Here at Galleria Conti, we like being good to you

This is why to celebrate our five year anniversary, we’re reducing our prices by 25% until Wednesday. It’s just our way of saying thank you for supporting us over the past few years.

So head on down, because we also have some amazing new Autumn/Winter stock that you will simply fall in love with – we guarantee it!

You can also join us on facebook or twitter to find out what’s going on before anyone else!

Trend Alert: Baroque

One trend that was all over the Autumn/Winter catwalks, were designs inspired by fashions of the Baroque period. Think opulence and decadence, rich materials with thick detailing in gold and silver, and you’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head.

If it’s good enough for the Dolce and Gabbanna catwalk, then we’re pretty sure it is good enough for the Galleria Conti shop floor, so this season we’ve invested in this fabulous cape by Colette Dinigan. With a high collar, double breasted front and old gold fastenings this is one item that is bound to make an impact this season.

TREND ALERT: Very Berry

Shades of berry, plum and burgundy are looking to be huge this season and feature across the high-street. Of course, we all know that high-street stores take inspiration from their luxurious counterparts, which is why here at Galleria Conti HQ we have a number of garments available in the colour palette of the moment.

If you’re looking for something to keep you warm, we advise checking out the V-necked cashmere top by Nicole Farhi, which looks amazing with jeans. Alternatively if you’re wanting to be inspired by something a little different, the how about trying on a pair of her corduroy jeans, and team with a cream blouse and black blazer for the office.

Now, we know we’ve been a remiss regarding our posts over the last month, but honestly September has been manic for us at Galleria Conti HQ. First with fashion week season, but more importantly we’ve received, and photographed the majority of our Autumn/Winter stock.

So we thought, now that Autumn is finally upon us, that we should reveal some of our ‘must-have’ items for this season.

Lace AND glitter, what’s not to love? With the party season almost upon us, this season is all about using elegant, opulent yet lady-like designs to make a fashion statement. With a plunging V neck-line and a silver waist band to emphasise your curves, this BCBG MaxAzria garment is one dress that has the ‘WOW’ factor.

This season, military is a huge trend, one which was seen across a lot of the Autumn/Winter catwalks. It is also a relatively easy trend to pull off, irrespective of age, height or figure – which is why we love it so much. This burgundy military cardigan by Bastyan is a beautiful addition to any wardrobe. Team with denims and some knee-high boots for an effortlessly stylish day-wear look.

There’s a lot you can do with this Maki Long sleeved top from The Designer’s remix, making it the perfect versatile piece for your winter collection. Style it with a fitted skirt and court shoes for the perfect office look or with jeans and ballet pumps for low-maintenance weekend wear.

Of course, it is starting to get cold, so it is really important to start investing in those key pieces that not only look amazing, but are going to keep you warm. This stylish bamboo cashmere top in green has a large open cowl neckline, long sleeves and slips on easily.

If you’re looking for something to wear for the office party, then look no further than this purple Tessa dress from Bernshaw. Fitting snugly to the body this dress is the ultimate style statement for those wishing to make an impact. Wear with killer heels and a silver clutch, and you’re bound to impress.

We have some good news and some bad news from Galleria Conti HQ, the bad being that our summer sales have officially FINISHED.

However, despair not, because we’ve some exciting Autumn/Winter collections currently in store, and more on the way over the coming weeks.

Still, if you can’t quite get in to that ‘Autumn/Winter’ mindset JUST yet, don’t worry. We’ve some fabulous pieces that you can buy now, wear now and continue to wear throughout the colder months.

Here’s   our top-pick of Galleria Conti transitional pieces.

One of the most popular casual-wear garments over the Spring/Summer period were Nicole Farhi’s ruched neck T-shirts which flatter almost any body shape.

This season, the T-shirts make their return in both pale blue and bottle green colour palette. Style with some ballet flats and a casual jacket for day-wear purposes or wear with some killer heels and a bold pendant necklace for an evening of socialising.

If you’re planning on attending an exclusive and glamorous event over the next few weeks, but don’t quite feel that it is appropriate to get out your best winter dresses just yet, then this V-necked cap-sleeved dress is a fantastic option.

With cross detailing at the front and ruching at the sides and the back of the dress, this garment is one which will really emphasise and flatter a feminine silhouette.

We also love the spotted cowl neck top from Paul Smith with grey and black polka dots which channel a fun aesthetic for the Autumn/Winter period, but will look fabulous with a pair of coloured denims or shorts for the remainder of the Spring/Summer period.

Of course, if colour is your thing, then why not try the Paul Smith peony back T-shirt. A similar T was available in Paul Smith’s Spring/Summer collection, but this season the colour-way differs with soft pinks and purples contrasting with bright reds and blacks to create a fabulous statement pattern.

The Victorian-inspired trend is one that has been predicted to be huge over the coming months, so if you want to appear ahead of the crowd then this black lace top is probably worth investing in and styling with a knee-length skirt for summer or some leather trousers.

Finally, we’re just a little bit in love with this blue ruffle front top from BCBGMAXAZRIA. In a fantastic shade of blue this delicate and feminine top is versatile and easy to wear. If you don’t believe us then check it out for yourself!

The Autumn/winter wardrobe needs to be prepared for a wide array of functions.

From London Fashion Week and Fashion’s Night Out (taking place across the globe on 6th Sept) to the numerous glamorous awards ceremonies that take place across the world, September and October are fabulous months for fashion and style.

So taking inspiration from the glitz and glamour of these events, we bring you some of our most fabulous dresses from Galleria Conti HQ.

Red dresses are always worth investing in, particularly at this point in the year, prior to the Christmas party season. This Moschino Cheap and Chic dress in pillar-box red is a fantastic edition to any fashionista’s closet. With a cowl neck-line and subtle ruche detailing on the left hand side of the garment, this flatters almost any figure and looks amazing with silver or animal-skin accessories.

If you’re looking to channel something a little more conventional (think of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s) then this little black dress is an essential tool in achieving that stylishly sophisticated look. With fitted panelling, and an open back detailing, this dress looks fabulous with a set of pearls and a sophisticated ‘up-do.’

One of the most popular items this season, are our Mama off-shoulder cocktail dresses that come in both blue and pink. The V-neckline created a body-wrap effect across the front and the panelling creates almost ‘body-con’ effect which really flatters the feminine figure.

Of course, we also have a number of actual body-con dresses courtesy of BCBGMaxAzria, such as the multi-colour Jacquetta dress and the Kisha short sleeve bandage dress. These garments all look fantastic with a pair of killer heels and a glamorous clutch bag for any party.

We didn’t have Halston Heritage in our recent summer sale, but this season the label is back … with some amazing party wear including the aubergine V-neck dress. With a plunging neck-line and concealed zip detailing, this dress is synchs in the waist and looks amazing on those with both fair and bronzed complexions.

The ‘Queen of the Cocktail Dress’ title however, must be awarded to Nicole Miller for her fabulous knee-length dresses with ruched detailing down the sides. This season, the designer does not disappoint, infusing her signature style, with a modern, metallic-based colour palette to produce some amazing statement pieces.

This slate coloured dress with sequin detail on the shoulders is fully lined for a slim, fitted silhouette and has a cut out back to create a subtle, but uber-stylish look.

We also happen to love this gold dress with capped sleeves, which would be the perfect outfit for a glamorous Christmas party and would look fabulous effortlessy styled with some black court shoes and a matching blazer.

The cardigan is a simple and classic addition to any wardrobe, and is an essential part of looking good in the transitional period between Summer and Winter.

It can be worn during the day with jeans and ballet flats for a relaxed daywear feel, or used as a statement piece in its own right.

We have a number of cardigans, both from the new Autumn/Winter collections which are perfect for the coming season.

One of our favourite pieces this season, is the BCBGMaxAzria wrap cardigan. The streaks of red orange and yellow colour flatters the garment’s fabulous cut, making this statement cardigan an effortless stylish acquisition to any closet.

We recommend styling with some beige or camel denims and some black flats to create a fabulous day-time look

For something a little warmer to take you right through the winter months, then this chunky wool burgundy cardigan is a fantastic piece by Paul Smith Black Label.

With a tie at the waist to place emphasis upon the feminine silhouette this rib knit cardigan with contrast detailing is both stylish as well as pragmatic with two large patch pockets at the front.

If you require something a little more subtle, then this grey See by Chloe cardigan is a fantastic purchase for the coming season.

The neutral grey colour palette complements the draping and tailoring making this garment versatile and easy to style as it can be worn over simple T-shirts or with a cocktail dress and some killer heels.
